You know, I’ve looked at various religious systems. And the striking comparison that leads to God’s incomparability is this: In every system I’ve seen, God’s love is quite conditional. He will love you if you do this. He will bring you back into his good favor if you perform enough good deeds or you do enough things or you perform enough rituals or you meditate enough or you have enough lives that you’ve circled back through or that your karma has worked out…it’s all on you, it’s all on you. – Abdu Murray 8.15.21
The God of the Bible is incomparable because he’s unique in saying that’s impossible, so he sends his spotless, sinless son to pay the price we should be paying so that we can have eternity with Him.
That’s the incomparable heart of God. That’s the gentle and lowly heart of God.
He’s the only one throughout all of human history that sacrificed his own life that all may live, even though we don’t deserve it.
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 ESV
