Imagine all the Israelite people walking out of Egypt in defiance only to find themselves not only taking the long way, but also pressed up against the edge of the sea, trapped and filled with fear as their enemies pursue them.
They are forced to come to terms with this question of trust in the Lord.
Will He come through? Will He save them? Will He provide a way?
6 Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
