We have access to more information on the internet today than anyone throughout history could have ever imagined. And while that information itself is not inherently bad, it can be dangerous both to our own well-being as well as to others. As followers of Christ, we need to think and pray before we post and share online. Be wary of the temptation to follow your bias! The Bible speaks directly to this in 2 Timothy:

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.  2 Timothy 4:3-4

In general it is wise to not make social media your default for learning anything or for sharing anything about yourself. Be intentional when you do engage online. Know why you’re doing it, do it, and then get out.
