Title: What is Your View of God? pt.2
Series: The Challenge Of A Biblical Worldview
Author: Randy Tomko

All of us who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ were at one time spiritual orphans. We had no family, we had no future. But the power and the beauty of the Holy Spirit is that He convicts us of sin. He places us before a Holy God, but not without hope. He uncovers the cross to us and in our brokeness we realize the sacrifice of the Son, of Jesus Christ.

And as we repent of our sin, by His conviction we are drawn in then and released from any shame or condemnation. We become adopted, we become part of the family of God, men and women alike. It doesn’t matter nationality, ethnicity, any status whatsoever, all are drawn in to the family of God. We cross out of the courtroom of judgement, and move over to family court where the papers are signed and we enter in and move on with this new family. And the only response we have then is to learn the ways of this new family, to learn the ways of our Heavenly Father.

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. Galatians 4:4-7 (ESV)
