Part of being in Christian community is that we see each other. There’s a relationship…people aren’t left alone.

They become known. You become known. You become part of a family, a home.

Our relationships will not always be perfect. In our humanness, we bump against each other and sometimes cause hurt. But the point of the church community is to return in humility to those relationships, recognizing our own failings and choosing to remain in community as God refreshes and renews. Again and again. Forging stronger, deeper, more authentic bonds every time…

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary powermay be from God and not from us. We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed.

2 Corinthians 4:7-9 (HCSB)
