Title: Thin Places
Series: Summer 2022
Author: Randy Tomko, Ryan Hall
Date:

We can become so caught up with the shiny things of this world, or something clever being said or done, that the real pursuit of the actual presence of God dissipates. It dances away from our consciousness leaving behind a fleeting regret of having missed something important.

The “thin places” are those moments when God seems so near to us that it’s as if we’ve actually crossed over into eternity just for a moment and beheld Heaven in all its resplendence and abundance. Just for a moment, then back into earthly reality again.

How can we position ourselves to not miss the thin places in our lives?

14 Then I looked, and behold, [a]a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, [b]having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.

Revelation 14:1-2 (NKJV)
