God’s unending love pours out over all the generations. For those who are still young, it manifests in a heartfelt desire to guide and place on a right path towards a future bursting with Kingdom opportunity. That path includes the influence of other generations − their shared wisdom and experiences. That path also includes a critical juncture where you have to make a decision about whether or not you will follow the Lord and learn to walk in His ways.
Will you be a Rehoboam, trapped in a cycle of arrogance, or will you be a Josiah?
Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. 2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.
2 Chronicles 34:1-2 (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
