How does a generation become lost?
Is it through sin? Corruption? Hard-heartedness?
All that and more were present in the days of Noah, so much so that God chose to restart the human line through a select few He deemed righteous.
But what about in today’s chaos and rebellion? Are we at risk of another lost generation?
Or, like Noah, will we find grace in God’s eyes?
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh,[a] for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood.[b] Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch.
Genesis 6:9-14 (ESV)
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Genesis 6:8 (NKJV)
