Men’s & Women’s Bible Studies  ///  Bible Studies for either men or women are offered on Thursday evenings from 7 – 8:30 P. Both studies run through December 13. There is also a Wednesday morning option for the OASIS Ladies’ Bible Study that meets from 9:30 – 10:45 A. There is no cost to participate, but registration is required. Register for Women’s Bible Studies RIGHT HERE. Register for Men’s Bible Study RIGHT HERE. Optional onsite childcare is available for a flat fee of $25 per family for the Wednesday morning study only (select and pay for this option when registering). Questions? Men of Courage Discussion Group /// Our Men of Courage Discussion Group meets bi-weekly on Saturday mornings – next meeting is Saturday, October 27 from 8-9:15 A at RCC. This SEEK group is for adult men who want to face challenges together and live lives of integrity and faith. A separate Discussion group for Women will launch in January 2019. No registration required – just show up!

Foundations of Christianity /// This SEEK class meets on three Thursdays in November (1, 8, & 15) and will dive into the foundational Truths of Christianity. For both newer believers as well as those who want to understand their Faith in more depth. There is no cost to participate but registration is required. Seeking CDL Drivers /// We are looking for a few additional CDL holders who would be interested in volunteering to drive our RCC bus for occasional events. Interested? Contact RCC Business Manager Julia Davis (julia@rockpointe.org).

Beverage Policy /// You will probably notice our new signs requesting “Bottled water only in the Sanctuary.” Please finish all other types of beverages before entering, or take advantage of our Atrium seating. Thank you for helping to create and maintain a reverent atmosphere in our Sanctuary.

Getting Ready for Marriage /// You’ve bought the ring and set the date…what’s next? Here at Rockpointe we believe it’s incredibly important to be prepared for your wedding both spiritually and emotionally! We’ve designed the Getting Ready for Marriage experience to help you along this journey. You’ll spend time viewing and discussing material designed to provoke engaging discussion about vital premarital issues. We also predict you’ll have some fun, too. This class is designed for couples engaged to be married and runs on Friday, October 26 from 6-9 P and Saturday, October 27 from 9 A – 4 P (both sessions required). Cost is $100 per couple. Osborn Service Saturday /// Our next Service Saturday is coming up on Saturday, October 27 from 9 A – 1 P. We will work on cleaning inside Osborn High School, beautifying the teachers; lounge, and outside grounds work. Meet at the high school at 9 A or in the RCC Parking lot to carpool at 8:15 A. Register at the Welcome Center or RIGHT HERE. Questions? Contact us at osborn@rockpointe.org. We now have “Here to Serve” t-shirts for all volunteers working on outreach events (e.g. MCREST, Service Saturdays, etc.). If you have not participated in an event where you’ve gotten yours yet, make sure you select that option when you register online or just request one at the Welcome Center. Suggested donation is $10 for each shirt.

Lunch & Learn /// Our Gentle Care Ministry is offering a Lunch & Learn opportunity on Sunday, November 11 from 12:30-2 P. We welcome our own Marie Briskey, RN, BSN, to address the topic “Hospice, Loss, Grief, & Bereavement.” Marie brings more than a decade of experience working in hospice care as both an RN and hospice educator, as well as being the founder and leader of Rockpointe’s Gentle Care Ministry. Cost is $5 each, and registration is available RIGHT HERE or at the Welcome Center. Rockpointe’s Gentle Care Ministry provides a wide range of pastoral care to the Rockpointe community including – hospital and home visits, prayer, health resources, grief support, and much more. Baptism Services /// It is clear in the New Testament that baptism was practiced as an act in response to Jesus after accepting Him as Lord and Savior. Perhaps you’ve just begun your journey with Christ, or maybe it’s been some time already…in either case, we encourage you to participate in our next baptism services on Thanksgiving Sunday, November 25 at both the 9 and 11 A services. Register RIGHT HERE or stop by the Welcome Center for more information.
All baptism participants must attend an Information Session on Sunday, November 11 from 12:30-1:15 P.

Explore Israel /// We are considering the possibility of a Rockpointe community trip to Israel in either November 2019 or Spring 2020. Interest cards are available at the Welcome Center, or you can register online to express your interest and receive important updates RIGHT HERE.

Rockpointe Pantry /// Our Rockpointe Pantry is well-stocked right now! If you need shelf-stable groceries, health & beauty items, diapers, etc., stop by and take what you can use. The Pantry is open for anyone who needs it and is located at the north end of the Concourse. Donations of goods are always welcome.

Recycling Initiative /// If you don’t need to keep your bulletin or insert cards, please help us out by recycling them! Just drop them off at one of the baskets at the back of the sanctuary or at either balcony exit. Thank you!

Paper Retriever /// Rockpointe now hosts a Paper Retriever recycling bin! It’s located at the front corner of our north parking lot. Feel free to bring in your office/school paper, newspaper, construction paper, shredded paper (in plastic bags), discarded mail, notebooks and writing tablets. The more paper we fill it with, the more recycling dollars come back to Rockpointe to support all sorts of ministry initiatives! Please note that the bin will not accept phone books or books (hardcover or paperback).
